Meet the Colorways Part 2

Let's meet some more colorways. How about we talk batiks?

Did you know that a batik is "a type of resist printing process in which wax is applied to the fabric in specific areas. When the wax hardens, the fabric is submerged in dye. The wax prevents the dye from reaching the fibers. The fabric is then boiled to remove the wax." This process makes batik fabric very unique to work with, as well as creates a different look and feel to your completed project. Let's take a look at our batik offerings for this Puzzle Mystery Quilt.

Bomb Pop

This patriotic colorway is from Hoffman Fabrics collection, Bali Batiks and Dots. The shades of reds and blues are going to make this a stunning quilt when it is completed. And for many of our followers who love to donate to Quilts of Valor, this one would definitely fit the bill. 

Ring Toss

Almost every color of the rainbow is represented here, making this quilt happy, vibrant and simply full of fun. This colorway is also from the Hoffman Fabrics collection of Bali Batiks and Dots. With so many colors in this colorway, the completed quilt is going to have quite the definition to the completed pattern. If you like bold distinction, this will be the one for you.

Sky Diver

Sky Diver is going to be a stunner because of it's more muted tones and sophistication. This colorway, from Dear Stella Designs, is from their collection Secret Forest. If you look closely, you can see the birds and owls, complimented by dots, stars and florals. However, the contrast of light and dark backgrounds is going to make the final pattern of this quilt really pop as well.

Keep in mind, our Ambassadors select a colorway, but all of our instructions fit either a large or small.
