A Rainbow of Results: The Color Challenge Wrap-Up

As the Cotton Cuts Color Challenge for 2024 has come to a close, we’re celebrating a year of creativity, color, and community—where simple blocks became stunning quilts and a fun idea grew into an inspiring tradition!

What started as a simple, fun monthly Color Challenge from Cotton Cuts—where members could either sew or color a single quilt block—quickly blossomed into something even more creative. Our talented community took the challenge to the next level, transforming those individual blocks into full quilts bursting with color and personality. Inspired by their passion and ingenuity, we knew we had to keep the momentum going. And so, a new yearly tradition was born—one that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and the vibrant spirit of our makers!

Through thoughtful planning, some of our enthusiasts coordinated fabrics for all 12 of their blocks and turned those individual blocks into quilts. Each one unique in fabric choice and final design. And this ingenuity had to be celebrated and turned into a yearly challenge.

So, if you turn all our monthly blocks into a fabulous quilt of your own, post a picture in January of 2026 and we will send you a Cotton Cuts gift card. And you can be a part of the Color Challenge gallery that we are so proud to display.

Make sure to sew or color your card each month and show us a picture in our Facebook Group, Cotton Cuts Fabric. All members love to see what everyone is doing. And, we offer a monthly prize, selecting from all of those entries. You never know which idea or color combination might catch our eye.
