Celestial is one of my favorite types of quilt designs, one that looks way more complicated than it actually is.
The blocks are assembled using strip piecing and no Y-seams, so the quilt top comes together very quickly.The original is made with specific placements of fabrics to create the beautiful color change that is repeated in each block. But it could also be made scrappy.
A 60-degree triangle ruler with all three points, like the Clearview Triangle, is needed in order to cut the right amount of diamonds for this pattern.
