Cotton Cuts PMQ is a Cut Above the Rest

What is a Cotton Cuts Puzzle Mystery Quilt?

Cotton Cuts has created a Puzzle Mystery Quilt that is a cut above the rest. It is a 10-month program that includes a prepay option where quilters can receive all of their fabric upfront, or they for those that love the anticipation of something special in their mailbox each month, quilters can choose the monthly option.

Both options include all PRE-CUT color coordinating fabric and instructions that are so easy to follow. Each month quilters are one step closer to piecing together the mystery. All of the clues are emailed monthly despite the option you choose so that everyone is sewing along and uncovering the mystery together. The tenth and final clue provides the final instructions for completion and viola! Your quilt top is complete and ready for the backing and binding.

Quilters anticipate the release of colorways with each and every PMQ announcement. There are usually about 12 colorways to choose from that are made up of a variety of designers and color schemes. These pre-coordinated and perfectly blended together fabrics are carefully curated to make sure every quilter is in love with their project. Each colorway usually consists of about 6 fabrics. You are sure to find one, if not several, looks that are perfect for you.

Another Perk - Not everything’s the same

Quilters don’t all have to sew the same size quilt. For instance, some quilters prefer a small quilt that would be great as a throw or lap quilt. A small quilt can be also used as a cover for a twin sized bed.

If quilters want something bigger, they may opt to sew the large which is great for a full or queen size bed. They can also grab an extra border kit to expand their quilt to their preferred size. The possibilities are endless.

Also, the two sizes available are NOT exactly the same. You will not find the exact same pattern between the two. They are designed to be similar but unique. How cool is that?

All Skill Levels Welcome

To become a “detective” in our Puzzle Mystery Quilt experience you can be a beginner quilter. As long as you can turn on your sewing machine and sew a straight line with a 1/4 inch seam, you can sew together a PMQ. Since all of the fabric is PRE-CUT for you, you can just sit back and bask in the joy of sewing it altogether. The instructions are so easy to follow, and the sewing of each section is simple.

But prepare yourself, the PMQ is so addicting, as your skill level improves, you will still want to sew this quilt over and over. Our detectives never get tired of the mystery and suspense. And they continue to love their finished products over and over again.

What makes it different, and dare we say BETTER, than a standard quilt kit? Let's dive in....

1. This is NOT a block of the month. Each month brings you a section of your quilt top. When you complete your clues each month, you may be sewing together two sections from the top, down the left side, or the middle. Maybe your clues will put together the top and lower corner. We challenge you to figure it out, as only a select few have come close so far. So be sure to label your completed sections carefully to make assembly at the end of the mystery a breeze.

2. You receive one per month for 10 months, not all at once. Even if you elect to pre-pay and receive all of your pre-cut pieces for each month in one complete package, your instructions will arrive once each month via email. Make sure to keep up. You will want to assemble those pieces as soon as the mystery is revealed.

3. Each completed colorway has its own unique look, even though the pattern is exactly the same. You could choose three colorways and end up with three completed quilts that look different and unique to their own colorway.

4. Need help? Our Fabric Enthusiasts will answer your questions via email or Facebook. And we have a fabulous community group who will assist and support you along the way

You can also reserve backing for your quilt as well. No need to worry that your favorite fabric may sell out or not be available in your local store. It is all reserved just for you.
