You're Invited!

Do you love a challenge? At Cotton Cuts, we are always looking for new ways to be innovative and creative. It's in our nature. But, sometimes the tried and true are what we circle back to.

Did you know that we die cut 50,000 fabric shapes for our customers every month? We have fantastic die cutting machines to make these cuts exact, perfect and in bulk to get the job done. But, what can we do with all of those scraps? We just can't allow the leftover fabrics go to waste. We repurpose! 

Do you know what a Snippet Bag is? It's a bag of scrappy fabric, the remnants of our carefully die cut squares and triangles. We don't see this as trash... it's TREASURE! And we are calling on you to help us create beautiful works of art with our scrappy bags.

Since we love to find new and fun uses for our "bonus fabric," we are turning our Snippet Bags into a challenge to honor Earth Day on April 22nd, where we take time to think about ways we can help our planet.

So please join us as we challenge you to think up new or traditional, yet exciting, ways to turn our extra fabric into treasures. (Sorry folks, I refuse to call this fabric "trash".)

What it is....

Grab a Snippet Bag from Cotton Cuts and make a project with it. You can find a Snippet Bag on our website or click here: Snippet

Get your creative juices flowing and make something with it.

We will have two categories for you to choose from. 

1. Make a regular quilt with your snippets.
2. Make another creative, possibly smaller and shorter time commitment, project.

When your project is complete, send us photos of your work of art and we will put them on our site for all to see. There will be voting, and there will be awesome prizes. And there will be so much inspiration for what you will want to do with your next Snippet Bag!

A few quilts and quilt tops....

** Don't forget. Your quilt does not have to be quilted to be eligible! We know what a time commitment it is to finish a quilt. Just send us photos of your quilt top. That will be just fine.

And a few projects....

Just imagine the possibilities. You can make a mug rug, bowl cozies, tote bags, scrunchies, pet blankets or ties and kerchiefs, or pillows. If you need more inspiration, be sure to check out some of our past blogs for some great small project ideas.
